Zion Lutheran Church has an active altar guild.  The ministery of the altar guild is to assist in creating and maintaining a climate of worship for the congregation.  Duties of the guild are to care for the paraments, changing paraments to proper color for the day or season and display the church banners, prepare the sacraments for Holy Communion, maintaining the candles on the altar, eternal candle, and advent wreath, and caring for floral arrangements.   Additional duties are to care for baptismal font and prepare the napkins to be given to the baptized.

The guild members serve a 2 month period during the year.  Guild chairperson -Lana Schaunaman, Carol Fey, Fern Schauer, Joan Overbo, and Mavis Schock.
